Each form contains a group of fields (filters) that allows you to manage your listing search criteria.<\/p>\n<p>The best part is that you have full control on that, and you can choose between different field types and create your own search process.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-412 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/utillz.com\/docs\/heilz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/09\/search-forms.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"913\" height=\"845\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"create-a-new-search-form\">Create a new search form<\/h3>\n<p>Start creating a new search form by going to <strong>Listing types <i class=\"material-icon-arrow_right_alt __arrow\"><\/i> Search forms <i class=\"material-icon-arrow_right_alt __arrow\"><\/i> Add new<\/strong>. Use our interface to drag, edit, delete and create new fields.<\/p>\n<p>Each search filter key, should match the key of your <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/utillz.com\/docs\/heilz\/listing\/fields\/\">custom listing fields<\/a>, so the system can know how to narrow your search results.<\/p>\n\r\n        <div class=\"warning warning-alert has--tooltip\">\r\n                            <span class=\"__tooltip\">Important<\/span>\r\n                        <div class=\"__inner\">\r\n                <div class=\"__content\">\r\n                    <p>Make sure that each of your search fields is having a <u>unique<\/u> and <u>not empty<\/u> key value. Using the same key for multiple fields, could cause search result conflicts.<\/p>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n            <\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n\r\n        \n<h4 id=\"point-your-search-form-to-a-specific-listing-type\">Point your search form to a specific listing type<\/h4>\n<p>In the search form &#8211; edit page, you can see an option called <label class=\" mb-0 \"><strong>Select listing type (optional)<\/strong>. This option, leads your search results to a specific listing type. If you leave it empty, it will go straight to the global explore page, with no listing type.<\/label><\/p>\n<h4 id=\"attach-a-search-form-to-a-listing-type\">Attach a search form to a listing type<\/h4>\n<p>Once you have created your listing type search form, you need to tell your listing type to use it. Just navigate to <strong>Listing Types <i class=\"material-icon-arrow_right_alt __arrow\"><\/i> (edit your listing type) <i class=\"material-icon-arrow_right_alt __arrow\"><\/i> Explore <i class=\"material-icon-arrow_right_alt __arrow\"><\/i> General<\/strong>, and use the drop-down option <label class=\" mb-0 \"><strong>Select search form<\/strong>. Now, if you go to the front-end explore page for that listing type (example: \/explore?type=[listing-type-slug]), your search form will be injected automatically.<\/label><\/p>\n<h4 id=\"more-filters-popup\">More filters (popup)<\/h4>\n<p>Additionally, you can attach a second search form, using the option <label class=\" mb-0 \"><strong>Select search form (more)<\/strong>. This search form could be used as an <strong>advanced search<\/strong>, and it will appear in a modal (popup).<\/label><\/p>\n\r\n        <div class=\"warning warning-alert has--tooltip\">\r\n                            <span class=\"__tooltip\">Important<\/span>\r\n                        <div class=\"__inner\">\r\n                <div class=\"__content\">\r\n                    <p>Please note that you should avoid using the same fields (keys) on both search forms, or the search results parameters will be confused and you may not get the correct results.<\/p>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n            <\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n\r\n        \n<h3 id=\"what-else\">What else?<\/h3>\n<p>Ok, so now we know, that we can use the search forms in your listing types, but is there any other place that you can use the search forms and how? The answer is yes.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Shortcode<\/strong> \u00e2\u20ac\u201d Add a search form anywhere in your page content using a shortcode. Example: <code>[ulz-search-form id=\"post_id\"]<\/code><\/li>\n<li><strong>Primary search (header)<\/strong> \u00e2\u20ac\u201d Some of our themes also support a search form in the header. You can add one by going to <strong>Listing Types <i class=\"material-icon-arrow_right_alt __arrow\"><\/i> Settings <i class=\"material-icon-arrow_right_alt __arrow\"><\/i> Theme <i class=\"material-icon-arrow_right_alt __arrow\"><\/i> Header <i class=\"material-icon-arrow_right_alt __arrow\"><\/i> Select primary search form<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Elementor widgets<\/strong> \u00e2\u20ac\u201d There are also Elementor widgets, that will allow you to bring a search form somewhere in your font-end.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The listing type search forms are standard WordPress posts.
