When you promote a specific listing, it will gain higher <a class=\"__link-hash\" href=\"#listing-priority\">priority<\/a> over the other listings.<\/p>\n<p>Similar to the plans, you need to create a WooCommerce product and assigned it to one or more listing types. The payment will be handled through WooCommerce as a standard payment.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"how-to-create-a-promotion\">How to create a promotion?<\/h3>\n<p>Navigate to your admin dashboard, then go to <strong>Products <i class=\"material-icon-arrow_right_alt __arrow\"><\/i> Add New<\/strong>, and change the product type from <strong>Simple product<\/strong> to <strong>Listing Promotion<\/strong>. In the product data, additional fields will appear:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Duration<\/strong> -\u2014- The number of days of the listing to be promoted.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Limit<\/strong> -\u2014- Higher value means higher priority in search results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget to set a price and title, then publish the product.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"how-to-assign-promotions-to-the-listing-type\">How to assign promotions to the listing type?<\/h3>\n<p>Now that you have created a new promotion, you can assign in to one or more listing types. Navigate to <strong>Listing types <i class=\"material-icon-arrow_right_alt __arrow\"><\/i> (edit your listing type) <i class=\"material-icon-arrow_right_alt __arrow\"><\/i> Monetize <i class=\"material-icon-arrow_right_alt __arrow\"><\/i> Promotions<\/strong>, mark the option <strong>Enable promotions<\/strong>, and check all the promotions you want to attach. Save the changes and done!<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"how-to-manage-promotions-from-the-backend\">How to manage promotions from the backend?<\/h3>\n<p>All the promotions will appear in your backend in <strong>Listing Types <i class=\"material-icon-arrow_right_alt __arrow\"><\/i> Promotions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that a\u00a0<strong>completed order is required<\/strong>\u00a0in order to process the plan creation,\u00a0<a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/utillz.com\/docs\/monetize-your-business\/#orders\">learn more here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"listing-priority\">Listing priority<\/h3>\n<p>You can edit a specific listing and set the priority level manually. Higher value means higher priority in search results.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Normal = <strong>0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Featured = <strong>1<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Promoted = <strong>2<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"faq\">FAQ<\/h3>\n<p><strong>How to change the promotion sorting?<\/strong> -\u2014- WooCommerce will automatically sort products\u00a0<strong>alphabetically<\/strong>. However, you can also use this setting to create an entirely\u00a0<strong>customized order<\/strong> for your WooCommerce products (promotions).<\/p>\n<p>Go to your admin dashboard and navigate to <strong>Products<\/strong>, then click on <strong>Sorting<\/strong> at the top of your product listings page, you can start customizing your product order.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to change the listing&#8217;s promotion label? <\/strong>-\u2014- If you like to change the priority labels, you can do that by using some simple WordPress filter.
